“Working on it. As soon as you have Harley situated. Come find us,” Rock stated before looking at Harley. “We will get Blue back. I promise.”
Harley nodded then winced. “I know. Just make sure the bastards that took her hurt for it.”
“You have my word,” he promised as he took a step back.
Rock walked over to join Stone, anger surging through him. There was only one person who could be responsible for this and he was going to pay for this.
As they walked through the main part of the clubhouse he could see that everyone was on high alert. They went past the room that they used for church, instead of crowding into Link’s office. Until that moment he hadn’t even realized that Link had gone ahead of them. Not that he expected anything less.
He just needed to get his head in the game.
Ironically, he hadn’t understood the fear Blue had felt earlier this week when they’d had to go on a run. But at this moment, he grasped it in a way that made his chest ache.
“We’ll find her,” Stone replied.
Rock nodded but remained silent. He didn’t trust himself to speak.
“Cell phone is a dead end,” Link stated as he typed at an unnatural speed on the keyboard. Either they destroyed it or turned it off. The last ping was here on the compound.”
Rock closed his eyes and exhaled heavily. “Try the tracker on the necklace. She hasn’t taken it off since we gave it to her.”
It was the only thing he’d done that he’d felt guilty about since meeting Blue. The necklace had been Stone’s idea. The tracker inside of it had been Rock’s. With the lifestyle that they lived, it was the best line of defense he could think of.
Blue was going to be pissed to find out about it, but if it helped to save her life he was willing to spend the rest of it graveling.
Chapter 16
Stone relied on every bit of patience that he had while Link worked his magic. He could feel the tension radiating off his friend. Not that he could blame him. Their woman was in danger despite everything they’d done to keep her safe.
Hawk was going to pay for this with his life.
“Got her,” Link finally exclaimed. “They are moving northeast and fast.”
He looked at Rock. “It’s your call.”
“Fuck,” Rock exclaimed as he looked at the moving dot. “You sure, Link?”
