“How can you say that?” she protested. “What you are suggesting is insane? How would it even work? I want normalcy. That’s why I ran from the Slayers. I want to get married, have kids, and have an ordinary existence that doesn’t require me to look over my shoulder for the rest of my life.”
“We can have that,” Stone retorted.
“How?”
Blue ignored the fact that she nearly shrieked the question. She had the right to be upset. This was insane.
“Because we can make it work,” Rock assured her.
“There are two of you and one of me,” she stated. “I can’t legally marry both of you. I won’t even bother to address the impossibility of having an ordinary life when both of you are leaders of an MC.”
“Rock and I have discussed it. You will marry him but the first kid we have will biologically be mine.”
Her eyes widened as Stone’s words bounced around in her brain. Then she laughed. She couldn’t help it. Now she realized they were messing with her. What they were suggesting was insane. There was no way they were serious.
Both men stared at her warily when she shook her head. “The two of you had me going for a minute there. The next thing you’ll tell me is that you already have a ring picked out.”
When neither man said anything, her laughter died off.
“Why aren’t you laughing?” she asked.
“Because this isn’t a joke,” Rock replied.
Several seconds of silence ticked by and the tension that had left her momentarily came roaring back.
Shit!
They weren’t kidding.
Chapter 6
“The two of you have discussed marriage and kids?” Blue asked warily.
“Yes,” Stone confirmed.
Blue knees buckled and she reached for the sofa. When Rock started toward her, concern etched in his expression, she held up a hand.
