“What the hell is wrong with you?” I yelled at Damiano and looked at a groaning Raffaele on the ground.
Damiano turned to face me, and a wave of nervousness washed over me as he gave me a look that said I should start praying for my life. His eyes were shaded with darkness, his jaw tightly clenched, and I couldn't help but feel like I was the next target on his kill list.
He stalked towards me and forcefully pulled me away from the party. I yanked myself out of his grip, but before I could even glance back to check on Raffaele, Damiano threw me over his shoulder.
“Are you insane? Put me down!” I banged my fists against his back.
Then a shocked yelp escaped my lips.
“Did you just slap my ass?!”
“Yes, and I will fucking do it again.” He growled, and I felt another sharp sting on my ass.
He continued to ignore my yelling and walked at an inhumane speed as I tried to get him to put me down.
“I’m going to be sick…” I mumbled when I started to get dizzy.
Damiano kicked a door open and plopped me down on a desk. He rested both of his hands on the desk on either side of me, caging me in. I gulped as I looked at his furious expression.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” He hissed lowly. I crossed my arms and faced away from him. It looked like we were in his office. “Look at me when I talk to you.” He ordered firmly, but still gently cupped my chin to face him.
I glared at him.
“Me? I should be the one asking you!” My frustrations with him finally exploded.
“What are you talking about?” His eyes narrowed and his voice was still deadly low, but I didn’t give a fuck anymore.
“You think you can just come into my room, mark my freaking body, and then just disappear for God knows how long? Not to mention showing up with another woman!”
“What woman?” He questioned. I clenched my jaw and shook my head at him for playing dumb.
“Just let me go.” I tried to move away, but he kept me caged between his arms.
“What woman?” He pressed on again.
“That woman… Arianna.” I spat out her name.
Damiano went silent and kept looking at me for a while. He then sighed and leaned back a bit.
“You’re letting another man touch you because you think I’m with her?”
“I’m not fucking dumb.” I crossed my arms.
“Don’t ever let another man touch you.” He snarled, leaning closer to me, warning me to not defy his order. I leaned in as well as I kept a fierce glare on him.
“Good thing I can do whatever I want. Just like you.” I gave a sarcastic smile as I poked his chest with my finger.
Damiano clicked his tongue in annoyance as he kept looking at me.
“She’s my sister.”
I blinked.
Then I burst out in laughter.
“That’s like the oldest excuse in the book.” I wiped the tears from my eyes as I continued to chuckle. “You didn’t strike me as the type of person with a sense of humor, but that joke was really good.”
A crease formed between his brows as he looked at me, likely trying to figure out if I had lost my mind.
