Slipping the box into my pocket, I left the office, making my way toward the bedroom where she was peacefully asleep.

“Damiano?” I called out his name when I found the space next to me empty. I didn’t get a response, so I called out his name again and listened for any movements, but the entire place was quiet.

I switched on the lamp on the nightstand next to me, seeing a note attached to it.

I smiled at the note and went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. Once done, I headed to the walk-in closet to find something to wear, but to my surprise, I found another note attached to a hanger.

I grabbed the note, loving this playful side of him.

Even when he wasn’t around, he could make my heart flutter with just written words.

I dressed in the attire he had chosen and took a glance in the mirror. The outfit was a vibrant red, captivating two-piece with a mesh mini skirt. It had an off-shoulder crop top adorned with charming, ruffled sleeves and a cute front lace-up.

Of course, he would pick this color. It was his favorite color on me.

As I made my way downstairs, the place was dimly lit, but Damiano was still nowhere to be found. I looked for him until I found another note on the door.

I bit down on my lip. Even through his writing, he had a way of making me blush.

Wait a minute.

“I will bite your dick if this is a test.” I called out in case he was hiding to see if I was able to follow orders. Everything was still and quiet. After deciding he wasn’t inside the house, I stepped outside.

Sicily was unusually hot this time of the year, but right now, the temperature was perfect as I breathed in the fresh air as I followed the pathway.

It was graced with in-ground lights, creating a magical nocturnal scene. The soft illumination gently traced the route, revealing the rustic beauty of the vineyard. Rows of grapevines were subtly lit, casting shadows that danced in the darkness. This place was stunningly beautiful, even when darkness fell and the night came alive with twinkling lights.

I let out a groan when the pathway turned into a hill, and my legs were sore from running earlier.

“God, you really hate me today; first running and now climbing a hill?” I complained to myself, but stopped when I found a single rose in the middle of the way with a note attached.

My heart warmed at the sight of rose petals that now covered the entire path, their delicate fragrance mingling with the night air. It had me smiling big and excited about what was awaiting me.

As I neared the summit of the hill, the warm glow at the top became more apparent. When I finally reached the peak, a small gasp escaped my lips at the breathtaking sight before me.

Lanterns hanging from the large tree cast a warm tone over the area, and beneath the tree, blankets and pillows were cozily arranged, accompanied by delectable food and drinks.

And there, at the end, stood Damiano with his back facing me.

He turned around, and the warm glow from the lanterns accentuated the golden hue of his eyes. His gentle gaze and smile had a way of making my heart skip a beat, no matter how many times I saw it.

“You made it.” Damiano approached me with both a massive smile and equally massive bouquet of red roses. “You look beautiful as ever, my love.” His eyes traced down my body before he leaned in, planting a sweet kiss that sent tingles throughout my entire being.

I was left speechless.

“What is all of this?” I asked. For some reason, my heart was pounding faster.

“A date. I never took you out on a proper date, and this is me trying to make up for it. Do you like it?” He asked.

“I absolutely love it!” I couldn’t help but gaze around, appreciating all the thoughtful details he had arranged for our date. “Thank you so much!” I exclaimed with excitement, eliciting a smile from him as I leaned in for one more kiss.

“Come, you must be hungry.” Damiano held my hand, leading me to the large fuzzy blankets.

“Oh, I’m starving!”
