“Feed him to the rats. While he’s still alive.” I ordered Dom and Giovanni and walked out.

Althaia
Three days have passed since Sofia tried to kill me, and three days since I last spoke to Damiano. I have been staying in Cara’s room as I didn’t feel like seeing him.
Cara tried to talk to me about it, but I wasn’t ready to talk loudly about how Damiano and Sofia had fucked. Oh, and how he somehow thought it was a brilliant idea to keep her under his roof while getting his dick wet by someone else.
I let out a loud groan and buried my face in the pillow, wanting to get him out of my head so I would stop thinking about him.
On the bright side, I was healing. My throat wasn’t hurting anymore because I wasn’t talking, and my foot was a lot less painful. I was still limping, but I could move it around.
“Get up! I’m tired of you being in that bed all the time.” Arianna ripped the blanket away from me.
“Leave me alone.” I grumbled and rolled in bed. This wasn’t the first time she had tried to get me out of bed.
“Sorry, love, but you’re getting out of bed today. Get dressed, we’re leaving.” Her words caught my attention. Curious, I sat up only for something to hit my face.
“Where are we going?” I asked, looking at the clothes she threw at me. A pair of training leggings, sports bra, and cropped t-shirt.
“Do you want to learn how to use a gun or not?” She looked at me with her hands on her hips.
“I do!” I said with a grin. “But just to be sure, does this training involve you making me run so you can shoot at me, and I have to dodge the bullets?”
“Is that what you think of me? A psycho who just shoots at people?” Arianna looked unimpressed.
“Yes.” I shrugged my shoulders.
“You’re not wrong about that.” She laughed, and I stared at her in shock. “But no, I won’t shoot at you, you idiot. You wouldn’t be able to dodge them anyway if I did.” She winked.
“That was not reassuring at all.” I said, but she ignored me and continued to talk.
“Meet us outside. You have ten minutes to get ready before I drag your ass out.” Arianna practically ordered before walking out.
I pulled my hair into a high ponytail after I was dressed and grabbed my crutches. I made it outside, where Arianna and Cara were waiting for me next to a sleek black car.
“Ready?” Cara asked with a bright smile.
“Sure.” I mirrored her smile.
We drove for a while before coming to a stop behind the woods, where a massive building stood.
“This place is huge.” I said in awe when I saw a large field transformed into an outdoor shooting range.
“We are one of the biggest families. We need to stay on top of our game. This is one of our places that we’ve recently expanded.” Arianna explained as she led us inside.
“This is going to be fun!” Cara’s voice brimmed with excitement, and I nodded along, feeling my spirits finally lift.
Descending through another door, we entered a vast open space with the sight of multiple shooting target papers hanging at the end. They were even human shaped with white markings.
“Okay, listen Althaia.” I looked at Arianna standing next to a collection of guns, magazines, and knives that were on display.
“I’m going to tell you the basics and how to safely use a gun, so you don’t accidentally shoot us. And Lorenzo would have your head if his dear Cara got hurt.” She smirked.
“Yeah, I’m definitely shooting myself before he gets to me.” I said in all seriousness. I didn’t even want to imagine what Tank Man would do to me if I accidentally hurt Cara.
“Good idea.” Arianna chuckled along with Cara. “Let’s get started.”
