“Are we already on a nickname basis?”

“To make it fair, you can call me Ry. Or Daddy. Whatever you like.”

She nearly spits out her drink, laughing. “Oh my God, that was awful.”

“What do you mean? Ever heard of Daddy Yankee?”

“Yes, but are you a Puerto Rican rapper?”

“No, but I am handsome. I think that alone justifies it.”

She eyes me once more, just to confirm the obvious. “I guess there’s no denying that. But there’s no way I’m calling you Daddy.”

“Worth a shot. At least I got you to admit that I am, indeed, good-looking.”

She shakes her head and rolls her eyes playfully. She twirls her straw in the near-empty glass, and I remember that I haven’t bought her a drink yet.

“Want another margarita?”

“I don’t know.” She locks eyes with me, her gaze full of heat. “Can you find something sweeter for me to taste?”

“I have a couple of things in mind,” I say, leaning in closer to her.

Her breath barely touches my nose and I can smell the fruitiness of her drink. All I’m focused on is how sweet touching her lips will be. She’s tempting me to kiss her.

Then, a smirk appears on her face. “I think that’ll be too sweet, Ry,” she muses as she glances at my lips.

“Why don’t you join us at our table? I wouldn’t want another man to swoop you up.”

She teases. “Just like you’re doing?”

“His mistake for leaving you alone.”

“But you’re already sitting down. Don’t you want me all to yourself?” She smiles sweetly, her eyelashes fluttering.

She might be onto something. Ethan had his fun with her. I think it’s only fair for me to have her all to myself now. Although, I can practically feel him stare daggers at me from behind.

I ignore him just as he ignored me when I called for him. See how he likes it. It’s all lighthearted fun, anyway. We’ll just see who Jade likes more.

I’m pretty sure I already know the answer.

The music in the club gets louder as more and more people stream in. Despite the crowd, my attention is fixed entirely on the two stunningly sexy men in front of me.

They’re both equally hot in their own way. Ethan, with his bright blue eyes, tan skin, and dark brown hair. Ryan, with his green eyes and blonde hair. They look like they belong in a Tom Ford ad. If I had to pick one of them, I don’t think I could. I want them both.

After a couple of minutes of talking to Ryan, Ethan came back and convinced both of us to join him at their table. It’s obvious they’re in some kind of competition, and I’m more than happy to play along.

It’s safe to say I’m glad I came here tonight. To think, I could be at home in my pajamas right now, eating a tub of ice cream all alone.

“So you guys are good friends?” I ask, raising my voice so they can hear me over the crowd. I’m sitting on the opposite side of the table from both of them. I was surprised they didn’t fight over who could sit next to me.

“Since college,” Ethan shouts back. “We own a company together now.”

“Unfortunately,” Ryan says.
