My lips chanted her name as I brought her over the edge again and again. She cried out my name in euphoria as her walls clenched around me. I shook, overcome with the emotions and sensations rocking my body until I spilled inside her with a roar of pleasure.

We slowed down, gasping for breath and staring into each other’s eyes. Sweat beaded my forehead, plastering my hair to my face. I felt like I had run the longest, most important marathon of my life. And Tristen was my destination, my home. She had given me the keys to her heart, just as I had given her mine.

I was home.

SILVER LININGS

Lorcan was spoiling me rotten, peppering kisses along my sun-kissed body. We had settled on the poolside lounge chairs to watch the sun rise, and he hadn’t let me lift a finger all morning.

Since my love confession last night, his molten-silver eyes glowed brighter with a passionate sparkle. His lips were curved in a permanent smile, and his entire demeanor was blissful and at peace. If my declarations of love made him like this, I would constantly reassure him of it.

Lorcan held up a chunk of chocolate banoffee pancake, skewered on a fork. “Open wide, give me a big aah.”

“Wouldn’t you rather feed me something long and thick?” I cooed, opening my mouth in a sinfully provocative gesture. He looked down at his manhood thickening beneath the brilliant-blue swim trunks.

“He’s all yours. All you can eat. But after you finish your breakfast.”

Lorcan fed me small forkfuls of the sweet and fluffy pancake, and in between bites, he raised the glass of orange juice to my lips. It was these small, tender acts of adoration that reminded me why I had fallen for him so hard and fast. In a few short months, he’d become everything I never knew I needed and everything I couldn't live without.

“My turn.”

I dolloped a spoonful of the honey yogurt berry parfait and fed it to Lorcan. He threw his head backward and hummed appreciatively while savoring the healthy treat. When he opened his eyes, they burned with desire and longing.

“I wanna stay a day longer. Just you and me,” he began, taking my hands in his and caressing them tenderly.

“Lorcan, I love that you came, and I love everything we did last night. But leaving tomorrow would mean I go straight to class and you to work. Besides, my friends brought me here to cheer me up. I’d feel bad if I ended up ditching them for a guy.”

“A guy?”

A mischievous smile tugged my lips at his wounded ego. “The handsome man I’m madly in love with.”

“Much better,” he said, drawing me onto his firm thighs so I was straddling him.

“Still, facts remain the same.”

“Why don’t you let me deal with your friends? I’ll tell them we need more time to celebrate because we’ve sorted out our problem.”

My playful mood iced over at the mention of the "problem." All the bitter, hurtful feelings from yesterday rushed back with a vengeance.

“Only we haven’t resolved it, have we?” I muttered.

Pushing myself up, I wobbled away from Lorcan, walking toward the gate to the pool.

“I took care of it, Tristen,” Lorcan called out. I heard his chair creak behind me as he stood up.

“Well, your definition of taking care of it might not be satisfactory for me!”

“Then what do you want me to do?"

His rough, urgent cry stopped me in my tracks. Slowly, I faced him. Lorcan’s expression was full of desperation and pain.

“Tell me what happened after I left,” I demanded. “I need to know.”

“I threatened to break her dad’s business contracts with my company. I meant it, Tristen. I’m not letting anyone get between us. Especially not her.”

I believed him. But it didn’t erase that woman’s words from my mind. The thought that she was responsible for Lorcan’s dick accessory made me queasy. I loved what that platinum barbell did to my insides. And yes, maybe the piercing only enhanced Lorcan’s godlike ability to make me orgasm, but I was greedy.
