My toes curled, my orgasm on edge; I came on his fingers, my body jerking on his desk as I shouted down his throat. Dominic sucked my mouth, bit my lip, then left a hot trail of kisses down my neck as I took in my first breath of unused oxygen.

“Oh my God.” I blinked, my vision off but refocusing second by second. Dominic pulled his hand from my pussy and slid the fingers into his mouth.

His eyes closed, broad shoulders rising on an inhale, and an animalistic snarl moved through him.

“Hmmmmm.”

When his eyes opened, he gazed at me for so long that I felt bewitched where I was. “Take a trip with me.”

“Okay,” I purred.

He smirked. “I haven’t told you where we’re going.”

“I don’t really care.”

“What I said still stands. The longer you’re around me, the more danger you’re in. Do you still want to go?”

“Yes.”

“Are you not afraid, Penelope?”

“You’ll protect me.”

He locked his jaw and stared. “Do you know what that looks like?”

“Your protection?”

“Yes.”

“No… but, still, I don’t care.”

His nostrils flared and I wanted him so bad that my pulse quickened. His fingers tapped down my face, then he moved away from me, opened one of his drawers, and pulled out a set of keys.

When he drew me to an upright sitting position, I noticed the keys were mine. My eyes widened.

“Your car is parked in your paid parking spot. Your belongings are on the seat. Nothing has been stolen from your bank account.”

I gasped. “How did you do this?”

“It’s better if you don’t ask me questions like that.”

We stared at one another, and I nodded. “When do we leave?”

“This weekend. We’ll be gone for seven days. Plan accordingly.”

I nodded and closed the gap between us, my lips landing on his mouth. He inhaled deeply as our kiss took on a life of its own, our tongues clashing and mouths crushing.

My core ignited when he pulled away. “Go.”

I lingered, but his next command felt like a warning. “Now.”

I saw a change in him, something perilously close to alarm. My legs moved, I grabbed my belongings and left his office—but long after I was gone, Dominic was still with me.

The helicopter’s blades sliced through the crisp winter air. Beside me, Penelope’s presence was a soothing solace, her eyes wide with awe as we approached the secluded island owned by the Lucas Cosa Nostra, my favorite sanctuary.
