Candace didn’t even notice the loneliness anymore. She only noticed the boredom. It would take everything she had, but she would put an end to that as soon as possible. She would find a group to join or something that would keep her away from her home for extended hours of the day. She wouldn’t just wait here for her life to pass her by. As Candace backed her Audi from the garage, she saw Declan collecting the trash can from the road. She drove by slowly, noticing the muscles of his back as he walked toward his home. Declan turned abruptly.

“Hi Mrs. Hutchinson, how are you?”

His dimpled smile stole her breath for a moment. “I’m fine Declan. Home from school?”

“All summer,” he said with a deeper smile. He approached her car and leaned into the passenger window to talk.

Candace fought to control her breath and hide her attraction. As he leaned into her car, his eyes traveled over the swell of her breast and down her waist. Candace smiled inwardly knowing the hot young stud was checking her out.

“I don’t know if it would be something you are into, but I’m looking for a new pool boy. Maybe you would be interested?” asked Candace aware of the cliché. Declan noticed too.

“I don't know that I will have time, but I will come over later and look at it. If it's not too much trouble, maybe my little brother will be interested,” he offered with a grin.

“That would be perfect. It’s just that with my sons at school and their father away on business all the time, I need someone who can keep it up for me,” said Candace demurely.

“I’m sure we can work something out,” Declan responded.

His deep, brown eyes met hers and Candace felt her pussy growing wet. He had no idea what he was doing to her. Just having him this close was causing her nipples to start to harden behind the padded cups of her maxi dress, and her pussy grew moister by the minute.

He pushed back from the window of her car, “Is six okay?”

“Six works great,” said Candace as she proceeded to pull away. Declan collected the trash can again and went toward his home.

Candace pulled away, singing an upbeat and sexy pop song from the radio. She thought of this evening and how perfect it would be if she made a move on Declan. Her body tingled in neglected places at the thought. Her hard nipples were already attempting to burn a hole into the top of her dress, but she had to play this cool. His flirting could have been meaningless, but she wouldn’t know until they were alone.

Candace rushed through her errands, hoping to get back home and into something provocative that didn’t scream trying too hard. She had just the outfit in mind, a sexy string bikini she'd bought for her trip to Barbados last year. She gripped the steering wheel of her car as she turned back into the gated community. Candace licked her lips. Her plan was so sinfully good that she didn’t want to think of what could go wrong. If she were wrong about her inclinations that Declan found her attractive, then it would be awkward from now until he was back at school. If not, then she could stand to have a lasting summer fling with the young stud with the rippling muscle and the mischievous smile.

Candace could hardly wait for six o’clock. She tried to keep busy so it felt less like she was waiting around for him to come over. Her heart thumped in her chest, and her legs were starting to feel like jelly. What if her husband came home early? What if her sons did? So many unknowns that could change everything came to mind. If she were going to do this, then she had to commit completely. There wouldn’t be any way to cover her tracks if she got caught. Candace had never attempted an affair before, and now, she felt like she was graduating into the big leagues. The stakes were high, but the rewards could be great.

She pulled the bikini from her lingerie drawer and held it against her body in the mirror. The nautical themed swimsuit, with navy and white stripes and anchors for detailing against her hips, had just the right amount of sex appeal. She wouldn’t come off as some old broad trying to be some co-ed in it. Instead, it read just like she wanted it to. Almost over the hill and still a damn fox. She quickly changed into it and then, a sheer white mid-thigh length, cover up. Flip flops, sunglasses, a book, and a bottle of wine completed her ruse. She padded outside, leaving the door to her home unlocked. Declan would be here any minute, and she didn’t want to be caught staging her innocence.

Candace found a great spot with just enough sun cover to give her skin a nice glow. She fanned the book open to a page midway through it and waited. Her skin tingled, and the anticipation of Declan’s arrival pulled at her insides. She was on the verge of coming out of her skin by the time she’d heard her front door open and close. Candace was in it for the win now.

Chapter 2

She was still pretending to read her book when Declan knocked on the sliding doors leading from the main room of her home out to the pool. She waved him in with a deep smile. The tee shirt and gym shorts he was wearing did nothing to hide the thick braids of his muscled arms and toned strong thighs. Candace stifled a moan as his long legs brought her to him in what must have been three steps.

“I didn’t expect you to be on time,” Candace said, as she closed the book and dropped it in her lap.

“I know you are a busy woman, and I didn’t want to keep you waiting.”

“Well, thanks for the consideration. Can I get you anything? Wine? A drink? Water? There might be some Gatorade inside.”

Declan hovered over her now. His tall, strong build gave Candace a small respite from the glaring sun. He pushed his hands into the pockets of his gym shorts and looked out over the pool and then back to Candace. Both of them knew she didn’t need her pool cleaned. Candace kept it in pristine condition herself, but he was here now.

“No, I don’t need anything. I won’t take up much of your time. I just wanted to check out your system and see how much upkeep you’d need.”

He dropped down next to the pool and skimmed the water with his hands. His eyes chased the ripples over the pool. A few stray leaves, some grass clippings, and just a tad off balance, but nothing crazy. Declan nodded.

“So, probably once a week would be good right? I mean, I don’t want to tie your brother up. I’m sure he has a girlfriend by now.” Candace walked toward the sliding doors leading into the main room of her home. She looked over her shoulder back at Declan and caught his dark eyes on the firm roundness of her ass. A smile curled on her lips.

“He doesn’t date much. He just wants money for video games and shit my mother won’t buy him. I’m sure once a week will be fine.”

“What about you? What lucky girl has your heart these days?” Candace let her voice drop an octave. Her eyelashes fluttered as she asked him.

Declan laughed. “No one serious. Just a date here and there. Nothing like you and Mr. Hutchinson have.”

“Maybe you see something in Mr. Hutchinson and I that I don't,” Candace said as she dipped into her home.
