Page 98 of Vicious Vows

The good, the bad, the domineering, the vulnerable. Every last part of me belongs to Faye.

"God, I love you too." I wrap my arms around her waist keeping her as close to me as possible. Instead of the up and down motion she simply rocks her hips pushing us both toward ecstasy.

Our bodies are barely moving but I've never felt a rush like this before in my life.

"Dominic." Faye whimpers as her core slowly contracts and releases with her orgasm. I want to give her more but I'm already too far gone.

My body contracts hard as I spill my seed deep inside of her. I don't let go of her even as I finish and my body begins to come down from its high. If I had my choice I'd never let her go again.

CHAPTER 40

Faye

My life will never be the same again.

That fact has never been more evident than it is right now.

Dominic got right to work on getting our life back to where it once was. He's rebuilding his home, even making sure to keep the sun room exactly where it was. He's hired new guards with Yuri's help. But more importantly he's already reached out to various contacts to continue his business. This time there's no question on who they are going to work with.

With his father and his brother dead, he's the only one they can deal with.

It's everything he's ever wanted. Yet, the only time I see him content is when he's home with me, in our little bubble. It's a heady power that I hold over him but I'm not dumb enough to abuse it.

I walked into his home as a prisoner. A woman tricked by her own sister into a life I never wanted and somehow I emerged a queen.

A position that Dominic takes very seriously. So far he's taken me on every deal, every meeting, every step in his quest to get back to the powerhouse he was before. At first, I didn't know what I could bring to the table, especially since I didn't know anything more about this life than I had before but after one meeting it was obvious what I was there for.

Now Dominic, myself, and a player I wasn't familiar with are all sitting at a table in the back of an unsuspecting restaurant discussing a business venture that would solidify Dominic's place as a leader in the big bad underworld of crime.

"Dominic, we've already discussed this. What you're asking for wasn't part of the deal."

Slowly, I reach across the table for my wine glass and take a sip. From the corner of my eyes I keep Dominic in my vision.

With me the man has changed but on the outside to the public, he's just as ruthless as ever. If this meeting doesn't go as planned I want to make sure I have enough warning to get out of danger.

Dominic's jaw twitches as he leans forward on the table and stares our guest down.

I don't need to be here but Dominic wanted everyone to know that he and I were a team. He never wants me to have to hide again.

With a sigh, I put my glass back down on the table and our guest turns his gaze to me as I start to speak. "I'm not sure what you intend on gaining by pushing back but I can assure you that it won't end up in your favor. Whatever deal you two had before Dominic took over should be considered void. Now let's keep things civil as we renegotiate."

I give a polite smile and feel Dominic's body relax next to mine.

This is why I'm here. To add a bit of civility to my husband's dealings.

Our guest stares at me for a second before he releases a cleansing breath and nods his head. "It seems I don't have a choice in the matter. Fine, tell me what you want."

I lean back against the booth and listen as both of them continue to talk business. Dominic is fair but he knows what his products are worth, the risks, and the rewards. He was made to take over and it's sexy to see him work.

By the end of the meeting, everyone is smiling and new allegiances are being forged.

As we step out of the restaurant, the cool night air hits us and I take a deep breath, feeling invigorated after the successful meeting. We slide into the car Yuri has waiting for us at the curb and I can almost feel the mask my husband wears outside drift from his person.

Dominic turns to me with a smile on his face. "You always know how to get the job done," he says, placing a gentle kiss on my forehead. Outside he's a menace, a tyrant not to be tried but with me he's sweet and open.

I grin up at him, proud of how far he's come since his return to power, both with his associates and with me.

"You didn't need me in there. I'm sure he'll come around eventually." I shrug and snuggle closer to his side as we drive steadily toward the penthouse.
