The air in the small house seems to get even hotter.

I've never thought of myself as someone that would ever run away from my problems but having a child isn't something that I ever thought I'd have to deal with. I have a child.

It doesn't take us very long to get Chance back down to sleep but I can tell Stella is still nervous. It's smart that she's nervous. I'm here to kill her.

"I don't want anything from you. If that's what you're worried about." Stella says and looks up into my eyes for a brief second before she looks back down. "I'd never try to take you to court or anything like that."

I can't help but laugh at that, "You'd never get me into a courtroom, no matter how many police you sent after me. I didn't ask you what you wanted from me. I asked if the child was mine. That's all that matters to me."

"Well if you don't care what I want then maybe you'll care about what I need. I need you to leave. I can't have someone like..."

The judgement rings true in her voice and I step into her space before she can finish her sentence. "Someone like who? A killer? A villain? You were quick to have me when you were surrounded by villains before. So what's changed? The scenery?"

"No, I... I don't want anything to do with that life anymore. I don't care what any of them do, I'm not going to the police or to anyone else. I just want to live my life in peace." Stella’s voice cracks as I continue to step further and further into her space.

"Peace. You'll never be in peace. Your life is mine now, either to take or to keep alive. Those are the only choices that you have."

She stares at me, her mouth gaping open, "Are you serious? I'm not going to be your slave or something like that? You can't do that." She snarls at me.

I can feel the fire inside my gut growing and let my hand snap out and wrap around my neck, "I can, and what's more, you'll like it."

Stella Spiro has always been an oddity to me. Something about her has always stuck out to me as something precious. Someone that could look at me and see what no one else sees. Me. The issue is I'm going to have to break her in order to get her to drop her walls.

That's going to take a lot of time and effort. I've never been the type to back away from a tough job.

"No, I want you to get out of here!" Stella uses her elbow and forearm to push me off her. At least I let her think that she does. She runs from me. The chase is exciting. She whimpers as she gets to the bedroom and realizes that she's not going to be able to go anywhere else.

"Please don't." She cries.

"Please don't what?" I ask and stalk even forward to her.

"I don't... I don't want this." She whispers but even as she does her eyes scan my body as I get closer to her.

"Show me you don't want it then. If you want me to stop prove it, Stella." I smirk at her and just like I thought the fight rages to life. She charges me and I can't help but feel a bit giddy.

Her sharp nails dig into my face and neck as she tries to fight her way away from me. I've waited too long to have her. Spent too long trying to figure out what it is about her that drew me so far away from my norm. Now I don't have to worry about what it is. Now I can just have her.

"You bastard, let me go!" She hisses at me. I pick my little viper off her feet and toss her quite theatrically onto the bed. She bounces twice before she settles on the mattress.

That hunger that I'd been trying to keep at bay after she got off with my gun comes back to full force. I want her. All the time, even when I was miles away on jobs that had nothing to do with her I still thought about the one that got away.

My Stella.

She leans up on her knees ready to attack me again but I'm through playing these games. I get on the bed with her and hold her hands over her head but she still doesn't give up. She kicks her toned, soft legs but I easily spread them apart with my thicker thigh.

Her growls turn into soft purrs as my thigh connects with her core. "You lied to me. You want this. You just want me to earn it. don't you."

"You never will." She says, "No one ever has."

I smirk and dip my head down so my mouth is near her neck, "Challenge accepted baby." I bite down hard on the soft skin right below the side of her chin. She screams out but I quickly slam my free hand over her mouth and nose. She shakes her head and fights harder.

"You don't want to wake the baby do you?" I whisper as I pull my face away from her neck. The skin is dark red and I can see the clear impression of my teeth. I want to make her bleed.

The thought rushes through my body like a volcano. I want her to bleed for me. But that'll be for another time.
