“He’s your uncle.” I snorted, pushing the buzzer on the door.

It was never unlocked.

The door opened, and I waved with gratitude to the camera; to whoever it was that had granted us access. Probably Rami, she seemed to watch the live CCTV the most out of everyone.

“So? He still scares me.” Chase shuddered.

We walked into the house, and I yawned, heading straight for the fridge.

Tugging out an orange juice, I poured it into two glasses before gulping mine down. Then, pouring another, I tossed the now-empty carton into the trash.

“Did you see Jared?” I asked, leaning forward on the counter. Chase shook his head, yawning.

“No, as soon as I woke up, I was out of there.”

“Bet Heather will be pissed at you, cuz.”

Chase sighed then, rubbing the back of his neck as he did.

“She’s a big girl.”

I decided to leave it there, but I was proud of Chase.

I loved that he helped a girl out in a shitty situation because that was the way our family was.

You stuck your neck out when you needed to, and I bet there wasn’t just one guy lusting after Heather Herrod.

I felt guilty that I was too busy with Kendra to help Chase out if he would’ve needed me.

“Where were you?” Chase asked, right on cue, and I groaned inwardly.

This was going to be fun.

“Kendra’s.”

His mouth dropped open, and I scowled at him.

“Shut up,” I commanded.

“I haven’t said a word,” he argued, putting his hands up.

“Before you do,” I warned.

I was irritated as fuck that I’d ended up at Kendra’s house, and I remembered to check my Insta feed to make sure there were no photos of me in her room.

The woman was mental.

“You must like her, you know, you keep going back,” Chase mused, earning himself a dark look from me.

“She’s hot and good at sucking dick. What can I say?” I drawled as I heard a snort of disgust from the doorway.

“Marriage material then?”

Raven stood in the doorway, her deep green eyes boring into mine before she nodded at Chase.

“Morning.”

“Morning, Raven.” Chase grinned back widely.
