Chapter 16

Polly

Polly ran off the tour bus and hurled herself into Flynn’s arms. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her close.

“God, you feel so good.” He pressed a kiss to her hair. “And you smell delicious.” He drew a deep breath of her hair.

Polly tugged his mouth down to hers and kissed him.

Flynn kissed her back with everything. He picked her up, wrapped her legs around his waist, and rubbed delicious friction against her jeans. She wrapped her arm around his neck and kissed him back.

He broke the kiss and grinned at her. “Hi.”

She smiled and squeezed her legs around him. “Hi.”

Bex’s husband, Aiden, walked by them and whistled. “Damn, guys. Not in public. The venue has storage rooms that work great if you’re in a hurry.” He wagged his eyebrows as if he knew from experience, then climbed into the bus. Flynn and Polly laughed and separated.

Flynn took her hand and clasped his fingers with hers. “We have to figure out how to be together more often. I miss you when we’re apart.”

“I know. This tour is almost over. Maybe we can tour together next year or something.”

“Man, I hope so. That would rock. I’m making that suggestion to Miguel.” Flynn leaned down and pressed a kiss to her cheek. “Well, we made it to Boston. What’s your itinerary look like?”

“I’ve got so much to see with you. What’s yours like?”

“Did you plan both days?”

“Of course.”

Flynn smiled like he had a secret. “Which day do you perform?”

“Tonight.”

“Okay. I play tomorrow. I already checked into the hotel. Let’s head over there and we can combine our plans.”

“Okay.”

They caught a cab from the venue to the hotel, where they stashed Polly’s luggage in Flynn’s room. It didn’t escape her notice that the room had a single king sized bed. She flushed when she thought about how they’d use it later.

They sat at the room’s table and pulled out their phones. They loaded their itinerary lists and switched phones.

Surprisingly, she didn’t recognize any of the locations on Flynn’s list.

She said, “There’s only one day on your list. And I don’t think any of these locations are in Boston.”

Flynn smirked. “Correct.” He handed her phone back.

“So where are they?”

“You planned two days, right? Which day do you look forward to the most?” he asked.

“Umm. Day two, I guess.”

He smiled. “Okay, so I have a compromise for you. I know you said to plan two days and we would merge them, but I didn’t do that. I only planned one.”

“I see that.”

“Let’s do one day of yours and one day of mine. We’ll do whichever day you’re most excited about then my day. Or if you want to combine yours into a new list, that’s fine, too.”
