“Why the hell would you need my underwear if we’re going to catch a movie?” she asked.

“Time to find out.”

I tugged her off the desk, slapped her laptop down and then grabbed her phone off the desk before pulling me after her.

“Crash… Crash… Cayden!”

People didn’t often call me by my government name, and when she did, I froze. It was a leash around my neck, tugging hard, but I was always her dog. She just didn’t know that yet.

“What are we doing?” she demanded as I turned around. “Where the hell are we going and why…?” She dropped her voice down low. “Why can’t I wear underwear?”

“Because for what I have planned, we need to have access to that wet little pussy for the entire duration of the movie.” I looked up and down her body, loving the fine tremor that was running through her. “If you don’t want that, we’ll take you home…”

I started to jerk her panties out of my jeans, but her hand closed over mine.

“No, I don’t want that.” Her thumb brushed across my knuckles and I felt every sweep of that. “I…” She looked around at Hawk, then back at me. “I trust you, though I don’t know why. Just don’t do anything that’ll get me fired or slapped with a public indecency charge, OK?”

I grinned then, unable to keep the triumphant feeling from my face. My arm went around her neck and I pulled her in for a forehead kiss.

“Wouldn’t dream of it, baby.”

Chapter 30

I felt like I had a dirty little secret as I walked out of the office. Co-workers called out their goodbyes as I left, hoping I had a nice weekend, and I replied appropriately if not in a slightly stilted way, because my mind was racing ahead, trying to work out what the guys had in mind.

Which I bet was all part of their evil plan.

If I’d known what they were up to I would’ve worn a more tailored skirt, not this flippy pleated thing. It looked smart under a suit jacket, but as we walked out the front door of my building, my hands were forced to slap down as a stray breeze tugged at the hem. Crash and Hawk stopped, looking on in amusement, as I frantically tried to stop myself from flashing the whole damn street, while they indicated I was to follow them down the street to where they’d parked.

“You think this is so bloody funny…” I growled.

“Funny?” Crash asked, then stepped in close to me. “No. Fucking hot knowing you’re bare underneath all of that? Dear gods, yes.” His fingers reached down, tracing the point where the hem grazed my thigh. “Can you feel the cool air playing over that slick little pussy of yours?” His voice was low, little more than a whisper in my ear, but I looked around, terrified someone might hear.

“Yes.” I ground that out through gritted teeth.

“Good.” His hand gripped my thigh and then was gone again. “Keep that focus.” Then he unlocked the truck, opening the door for me.

That smug look of his, it made me want to wipe it off, so as Hawk got in the driver’s seat, I slid in the passenger side in a little less ladylike manner. My skirt rode up, flashing him and the brick wall at his back for just a second.

“I just wanted to make sure you were focussed,” I said with a catlike smile.

“So it’s gonna be like that, is it?” He slid onto the bench seat beside me, moving over so I was pressed between the two of them, right as his hand landed on my knee. “Let’s get this party started, Hawk, because I think our girl needs to learn an important lesson.”

I didn’t know what that was as we walked into the movie complex. It was still relatively early, so there weren’t a lot of people here, because this was the no man’s land between the matinee sessions and the night ones. I wondered what was going to happen as Crash paid for our tickets. Watching the two of them closely, looking for signs didn’t help, because Crash was focussed on talking to the usher and Hawk was his usual inscrutable presence. I opened my mouth to ask, somehow sensing that Hawk might be the one to tell me what was going on, but when those dark gold eyes met mine, they fell closed again. That’s when Crash turned around.

“What did you want?” he asked me with a smile.

“What?”

“Drink, snacks?” He nodded to the array of food and drinks behind the counter. “What did you want?”

The kid serving us looked terribly bored, so I just said, “Popcorn, please.” That last bit was tacked on belatedly. “And a bottle of water if they have it.”

“I’m sure they do,” he said, his arm going around me to tuck me into his side as Hawk swept in to collect our food and drink and tickets.

I felt the warm line of Crash’s body, smelled the lime of his body wash and his own deeper, muskier scent and felt very, very vulnerable. He was fully dressed, in a comfortable looking plaid button down, the flannel fabric well worn and soft, but clean. He wore a pair of jeans and work boots on his feet and Hawk was much the same. They were all covered and I…

Crash let me go as we walked into the cinema, dropping behind me and I soon found out why. His fingers brushed the backs of my legs, keeping my awareness right where he wanted them, and when we climbed the steps to our seats, Hawk led us right up the back row, tucking us away in a corner. There were only a couple of other people there, eyes focussed on the screen and sitting far further down, so they didn’t catch this.
