“Wherever you want. I’m easy.”
I grin at that and then moan as his thumbs dig into the arch of my foot.
“God that feels so good,” I groan.
“How many boyfriends have you had?” He growls, and I blink my eyes at him.
“None. What about you?”
“None. Shifters don’t date. There’s no point.”
“Do you ever wish that you weren’t a shifter?” I ask him softly, and he shakes his head.
“No, I love it. My wolf is my friend. He helps protect me and those that I love. He’s part of me.”
“It must be nice,” I muse, and he switches to the other foot.
“It is… most of the time.”
We’re silent for a moment and I try to keep my growing attraction from becoming too obvious.
“Small town or big city?” He asks me, and I hum, mulling over my answer.
“I don’t know. I’ve been in New York for a while and I used to love it. I fed off of the energy of the city and I loved exploring. I was never bored because there was always something to do. It’s expensive, though, and the grind is starting to get a bit old.”
He nods, and I don’t miss the hopeful look in his eyes.
“What about you?”
“Small town. It’s hard to shift or stay in my wolf form when I’m constantly worried about a human seeing or trying to kill me.”
“This place has its charms,” I whisper, and he grins.
“I hope that I’m one of them.”
“You are,” I promise him.
He rubs my calf, and I moan slightly.
“You’re really tense,” he murmurs, and I blush beet red.
“I don’t know what’s gotten into me, but I’m so turned on today,” I blurt, and he freezes, his grip on my leg tightening slightly.
“It’s the full moon tonight. You’re feeling the mating heat,” he explains. “I didn’t… I didn’t think that you would be able to feel it since you’re a human.”
“Well, I can. Trust me,” I promise him.
“I know. I can smell your arousal.”
“That’s… embarrassing,” I mumble.
“It’s intoxicating and very distracting.”
“What happens now?” I ask, pulling my feet away from him.
His touch is really getting to me and I know that I’m two touches away from throwing myself at him and begging him to make me come again.
“Whatever you want.”
