“Baby! You’re phones ringing!”

I rush down the stairs, nearly tripping over my own feet in my hurry to get to the lounge where I left my phone on charge.

“Answer it!” I call as I hear Ethan laughing.

I come to a skidding stop as I enter the room to see him talking into my phone.

“Yeah, she’s fine; you have lost your room. Her stuff has taken over the whole house,” he laughs as I pull the phone away.

“He’s lying; I didn’t bring that much stuff with me,” I protest as Travis laughs down the line.

“Sweetheart, you can put your stuff wherever you want. It’s only temporary anyway until we can find a bigger house. Have you managed to get any decorations up?” Travis asks as I look around the bare lounge.

“No, I didn’t manage actually to go into the house. Bear and Ethan went in for me. All the decorations are still up there.”

The guys had taken me to my childhood home today to collect everything I wanted to bring to Travis’s house. For now, we will all live here as it’s three bedrooms and the bigger of the guy's houses. I didn’t want to spend Christmas in a house with so many bad memories. Sure, there were good ones, too, but after everything that had come to light regarding my father, I knew I needed the closure the guys were offering me. This way, we can start the new year together and move ahead as we look forward to life together.

“Well, I promise next year we will decorate the whole house and celebrate Christmas for the whole month of December,” Travis says in an attempt to cheer me up.

“Do you know when you will be home yet?” I ask, falling onto the sofa beside Ethan, who puts his arm around my shoulders.

“No, Sweetheart, it will definitely be tomorrow, though. I just don’t know what time, sorry.”

“It’s fine. I know you would rather be here with us.”

“I really would, but I will make it up to you. We’ll have a weekend away or something soon, whether all four of us or just me and you.”

“I like the sound of that,” I reply, smiling as Ethan starts running a hand up and down my arm.

“Me too.” I hear someone calling Travis, who sighs and shouts he will be there now. “I have to go, Sweetheart. I’ll call again later, okay?”

“Okay, Daddy, I love you.”

“Love you too.”

The phone line goes dead, and I sigh as I place it beside me.

“He will be home soon, and then you will be sick to death of him in no time.” I know Ethan is trying to cheer me up, but it’s not working. It’s been two days without him, and I miss him like crazy.

It’s mad to think how much has changed in the short time since we started this whole relationship. If you had told me a month ago that I would be in a reverse harem with my three stepbrothers, as well as Henry Stevenson was not my father, I wouldn’t have believed you. But here I am, recovering after some of the most challenging days of my life, surrounded by the love I always craved, knowing I will never be alone again.

“I’m back!”

I look up to see Ryan walking into the lounge with a grin.

“I managed to get a chicken and pigs in blankets. I hope you like sprouts as they were the only veg left in any of the shops I went to, and I have four potatoes. Everything else was gone, sorry,” he calls, holding up two shopping bags.

“I told you we were too late to get anything,” I laugh as I stand, grab a bag from him, and kiss his cheek.

“I had to try. I did find plenty of snacks to eat whilst watching a film, though, if you are up for it.”

I nod as he wraps his arms around my waist.

“That sounds good to me.”

Ryan kisses my cheek before reaching round and extracting something from the bag I just placed on the counter.

“Come on then. I’ll start dinner; you can help by chopping the onions.”
