As I thrust, I keep teasing her nipple, rolling it between my fingers and pinching it. Billie’s back arches off the wall as she yelps, her pussy pulsating. I groan, burying my face in her neck as I come.
I keep thrusting as I lift her high enough out of the water to take her nipple in my mouth. She moans as I graze it with my teeth. Her hips rock faster as I suck on it.
When she comes, her nails dig deeper into my back. I’m sure that I’m going to have marks on my skin in the morning, but it’s worth it to feel the way her pussy clenches hard around me.
Billie’s chest is heaving as I pull out of her. I kiss her, lazy and slow, our tongues tangling as I cup her face.
“You know, a girl could get used to a life like this,” she says as she breaks away from the kiss.
“Could?” I pull her closer to me as her stomach starts to growl. “Will get used to this. Bille, this is your life now. You’re it for me. And if I haven’t made that clear enough, then I need to step up my game.”
She gives me a smile and combs my hair back from my face. “I know that this is my life now. Although, if we don’t get a late-night snack soon, I might die from starvation.”
I chuckle and let go of her. “Alright, let’s go get some sort of snack going.”
Billie takes off toward the house while I swim to the deep end to grab her bikini. By the time I get out of the water and get into the house, she is dancing around the kitchen in one of my button-down shirts, the music blasting. I grab a towel from the stack near the door and dry off before wrapping it around my waist. Billie winks at me as she hops up on the counter to grab something from one of the cupboards.
“What are we making?” I ask, looking at the oven preheating.
“I want chocolate chip cookies,” she says, hopping down from the counter with a bag of chocolate chips in her hand. “Don’t warm chocolate chip cookies sound like the perfect late-night snack to you?”
“I’m more of a salty fan.” I grab the container of sea salt flakes. “Top the cookies with this and some caramel sauce too?”
Billie’s stomach growls in response. She laughs and nods. “Apparently, I like that idea.”
“I’m going to go get dressed and then I’ll be back to help.” I kiss her temple and put the salt on the counter before taking off to my room.
When I make my way back into the kitchen, my phone is ringing on the coffee table. I sigh and pick it up, silently wishing for a night where nothing goes wrong.
“What is it?” I ask, not bothering with a greeting.
“Nothing good,” Davide says as something crashes in the background. “The casino has been robbed. I just got here, but there is a lot of damage. The police are going to be asking for you when they get here. I’ve already paid them to ignore the silent alarm for an hour while we clean this up.”
“That fucker.” I run my hand through my hair, considering all the ways that I’m going to kill Paolo. “Alright. I’ll be there soon. Pay the cops whatever it takes to keep them out of my business for now.”
I hang up and look over at Billie. Her eyebrows are furrowed as she turns off the oven and puts the cookie dough in the fridge.
“I’m sorry,” I say, turning to head back to my bedroom for a pair of jeans and a shirt. “I have to go to the casino.”
Billie follows behind me. “I’ll get dressed and meet you back down here in a minute.”
I turn to look at her and shake my head. “You don’t have to come with me. I would really rather if you just stayed home.”
“Not happening,” she says with a bright smile. “We’re a team. I’ll be ready in a minute.”
I watch her jog up the stairs. Even though I want to argue with Billie, having her there with me makes me feel better. More at ease and less likely to explode.
She brings a calmness to my life that I didn’t know was missing.
That calmness isn’t going to save Paolo, though. Once I get my hands on him, he is a dead man.
There is a giant hole in the casino where the wall once was. The truck lodged in that hole is the first thing I see when we arrive at the casino. My blood starts to boil as I grip the wheel and try to take a deep breath.
“It’s going to be okay,” Billie says, reaching out to put her hand on my shoulder. “If that truck is still here, then I doubt whoever did this got away.”
“We just have to find them before the cops show up,” I say, my tone dry as I get out of the car.
Davide is standing in front of the building and several of my capos are surrounding the perimeter. He nods to me as I walk over to him, his hands in his pockets.
