“We’ll find her, Dane.” Salvatore lays a hand on my shoulder. “I promise you. We have connections in every MC and mafia organization across the country. There’s nowhere they could hide her that we won’t eventually uncover.”
“Let’s hope you’re right,” I reply, my jaw tight.
We spent hours making calls, reaching out to contacts in the motorcycle club and mafia worlds. With each conversation, we employ our persuasive skills and negotiation tactics, trying to ferret out any useful information. But time and again, we come up empty.
“Hey, Prez,” one of my men calls out from across the cabin, drawing my attention. “Just got word from a guy I know in the Hilo Hellions. Says they’ve heard whispers about someone being held at an old plantation house on the big island.”
“Could be a lead, could be nothing,” I say, with my heart pounding. “But we don’t have any other options right now. Let’s follow it up.”
“All right, I’ll let the boys know we’re heading to the big island,” Salvatore says, already tapping out a message on his phone. “You sure you trust this guy?”
“Trust isn’t the right word,” I admit. “But he’s never lied to me before. If he says there are whispers, then there’s something going on.”
As the plane continues its journey over the vast Pacific Ocean, I cannot help but feel a growing sense of unease.
What if we are too late?
What if Kat is already beyond our reach?
What if my woman is dead?
I shake off the dark thoughts and focus on what needs to be done. We have a lead, no matter how tenuous. As the president of the Savage Angels MC, I know how to navigate the treacherous waters of alliances and rivalries. And with Salvatore by my side, we will do whatever it takes to bring Kat home.

The moment we touch down on the big island, I can feel the weight of our mission pressing down on me. It is a mixture of dread and determination that settles in my gut like a shot of bad whiskey. Salvatore and I waste no time gathering our men and heading straight to the meeting location with representatives from other MCs and mafia organizations.
“Remember, these guys aren’t our friends,” I remind Salvatore as we walk into the warehouse. “We’re here to find Kat, not make nice.”
“Understood,” he replies, his eyes scanning the room for potential allies or threats.
As we enter, I notice three distinct groups gathered around makeshift tables. The first is a group of bikers wearing cuts emblazoned with the logo of the Ares Tribe MC. Their leader, a tall, lean man with a salt-and-pepper beard, glares at us with steely gray eyes. His name is Rattlesnake, and he has a reputation for playing both sides of any deal.
The second group consists of sharply dressed men and women who stand out in stark contrast to the bikers surrounding them. They are members of the Obayashi Yakuza clan, led by a petite woman named Kiyoko. Her serene expression hides a cunning mind, one I know we need to be cautious of.
Finally, there is a group of muscular men covered in tattoos, each one bearing the mark of the Black Eclipse Syndicate. Their leader, a massive man known as Cobra, stares at us with a mix of curiosity and suspicion.
“All right, let’s get down to business,” I say, addressing the room. “We’re here because someone took my wife, Kat. We think she might be held by someone in this room, or at least you might know where she is.”
“Before we go any further…” Salvatore chimes in, “… we want to make it clear that the Savage Angels MC and the Abruzzi Crime Family are fully prepared to show our strength and influence to protect what’s ours.”
“Fine words,” Rattlesnake drawls skeptically. “But what do you have to offer us in return?”
“Protection,” I respond, my voice as cold and hard as steel. “The Savage Angels has a lot of pull on the mainland. If you help us find Kat, we’ll make sure your operations run smoothly. No turf wars, no interference.”
“Same goes for the Abruzzi family,” Salvatore adds. “We can provide resources, information, and muscle when needed. We’re not asking you to join our fight, just help us locate my sister-in-law.”
“Interesting proposition,” Kiyoko says, her dark eyes appraising us carefully. “But why should we trust you? How do we know this isn’t a trap or some sort of power play?”
“Because my wife’s life is on the line,” I growl, each word dripping with barely contained rage. “I don’t give a damn about power plays. All I care about is getting her back safe and sound.”
“Very well,” Cobra speaks, his deep voice echoing through the warehouse. “We will consider your proposal. But know this… if we discover any deception or betrayal, there will be consequences.”
“Understood,” I reply, locking eyes with each leader in turn. “Now, let’s work together to find Kat before it’s too late.”
As the negotiations continue, I cannot help but feel the ticking clock in my mind. Each moment wasted brings Kat closer to danger, closer to an unknown fate. But I cannot let that fear consume me. With Salvatore by my side and the might of the Savage Angels and Abruzzi Crime Family behind us, I know we have a fighting chance at finding her, and I will not rest until she is back in my arms, safe and sound.
