He held her until the trembling passed, and she could take a deep breath. Only then did he stand up, shuck off his clothes, and pull her to the end of the bed and into his arms. Olivia was on her knees at the end of the bed in front of him. Declan unbuttoned the shirt she wore and pushed it off. Once she was naked, he turned her around, his chest pressed to her back, covering her in kisses. He caressed her, his hand moving down her stomach to her sex. He slipped his fingers into her and pumped them in and out, intentionally brushing them over that spot that made sparks flit across her skin.
Declan rubbed his cock against her, groaning against her neck. Olivia dug her nails into his arms as she ground down on his fingers, and he rutted against her. He pushed her onto her stomach, his knees on either side of hers, and entered her from behind with one hard thrust.
She pushed back against him, groaning, her fingers twisted in the blankets of the bed, holding tight as Declan slammed into her. His hips shot forward, so he buried his cock deep inside her as he fucked her at an erratic pace. He growled her name, and his body tensed as he came.
Olivia collapsed face-first onto the bed, Declan on top of her, both struggling to catch their breath. Declan’s rough hands caressed her back. Every few seconds, he pressed a soft kiss to her shoulder or neck. After a few minutes, he grabbed a blanket from the end of the bed and pulled it over them.
“Tell me what happened,” Olivia whispered, after she composed herself. “I need to know.”
Declan shared what happened after he, Shane, and Conor left the mansion, starting slowly but eventually pouring out the complete story.
When he finished, Olivia kissed the corner of his mouth, then she laid her head on his chest. “I can’t believe it’s over,” she said.
“You’re safe. That’s all that matters.” He twirled a strand of her hair around his fingers. “You’re free. You can go anywhere you want and do anything you want.”
Olivia tipped her head back to look at him. “You know that’s not what I want. The only thing I want, Declan Quinn, is to stay right here with you. I’m not going anywhere. We’re in this together.”
Declan arched an eyebrow. “For better or for worse?”
“Is that a proposal, Mr. Quinn?”
Declan chuckled. “Yeah, I guess it is.” He rested his forehead against hers. “You think you can handle being married to the head of the Muldoon family?”
“I think I can handle that,” Olivia said. “But we’re doing this together, me and you. Partners. Deal?”
“Deal.” A smile spread across Declan’s face. “I love you, Olivia O’Reilly.”
“I love you too, Declan Quinn.”
The End
