He turned his head and snorted.

I grabbed his face and made him look at me again.

“Answer my question.”

“That does not exist.”

“And don't you think it's the name of what you've felt about me over the last four years and the reason for you being here?”

“So that's the name of the feeling that makes us do crazy things?”

“Probably.”

“Then yes. I love you.”

I grabbed his face and kissed him again. Happy to be there.

However, that moment couldn't last forever if I didn't want the end to be even worse.

“I need to go home.” I rolled to the side, but he caught me.

“No!”

“My father can't find out that I came here. Especially since I just lost my virginity.”

“I came here to take you to Russia with me.”

“If I do that, my family will come after me and we'll start a war that none of us need.”

“I can't stay here forever.”

“I know that,” I said with sorrow.

“Then say you're coming.”

“I need to think of a way that my father will accept.”

“Which is?”

“Would you ally yourself to my family?” I looked into his eyes and made him look at me as he reflected on my question.

In my mind, the only way to make it work was for my father to understand that my marriage to the leader of the Russian mafia would be beneficial for everyone.

“I don't know how the rest of Russia would react to this.”

“It could be good for both sides.”

“I need to think.”

“Please.” I stretched my neck and kissed him.

Mikhail moved his body, but before he covered mine again, I rolled out of bed and stood up.

“You have to take me back.”

“I don't want to do this,” he said firmly.

“But you have to. I don't want you or my father to get hurt in a war we can avoid. Do you still want to marry me?” I was afraid of the answer to that question, because I had just handed myself over to Mikhail. He could have gotten what he wanted from me and disappeared. Still, deep down, I felt like it was worth it.
