“Do you love me, Mikhail?”
“Love?” He frowned as if he hadn't understood my question. “Love is nothing but a creation to sell products.”
“Then why did you come here? Why did you leave Russia at the risk of a war with my family if you could have had any other?”
“Because I want you.” He covered my lips again and, as much as I wanted to protest, resisting that urge to be with him was much more difficult given the proximity.
It was like experiencing heaven and hell at the same time.
“Pietra, you're taking so long... Shit! Pietra!”
I dodged Mikhail, sliding to the side and found my sister gaping at us as if she had witnessed the crime of the century.
“Who are you?” She looked at him and Mikhail looked back. “No, you don't even need to answer. Let's go!” She pulled my arm and dragged me away.
Mikhail grabbed my other wrist and I thought they were both going to break me in half.
“Let me go!” I pulled my wrists.
I turned to Mikhail and gave in to the urge to touch his face again. He was real and he was right there, but as much as I wanted to dive into that dream, I knew it wasn't as simple as I would have liked it to be.
“I need to go.”
“No.”
Before he tried to grab me again, my sister pulled me out of the bathroom where our soldiers were waiting for us holding some shopping bags.
“Let's go,” she told them.
“Is everything alright?” one of them asked.
“Yes,” we responded in unison, which didn't inspire much confidence, but they didn't question us again, they just left the establishment with us.
Chapter nineteen
I should have forced her to stay so she could go with me to Russia immediately, but I didn't want a prisoner. Love... whatever curse of feeling had fallen on me, I had been making reckless decisions regarding Pietra Bellucci since I met her and I wasn't going to give up on having her, especially because she also wanted to be with me.
My cock was still hard and there was a good deal of frustration at having only received a brief kiss before she slipped through my hands.
I touched myself over the fabric of my pants, but before I could reach directly and quell some of my desire, two women entered the bathroom and screamed when they saw me. I took the mask out of my pocket and walked past them with a firm look, making them step back until I left the women's bathroom.
I had tried Pietra's taste and knew I wouldn't rest until I had more.
I went out of the mall and met up with my soldiers who were in a few blocks, standing near the vehicles.
“Sir?”
“Let's get out of here.”
They nodded and got into the cars.
I moved my head to the side, watching the buildings of old Rome pass by as if they were in motion.
“Did you get what you wanted, sir?”
“In parts...” I released with a deep sigh.
“Should we go back?”
