I sank into the leather chair and let out a long, deep sigh. I had two problems to solve and needed to deal with them before I lost control of the situations.
I pulled my cell phone, which was on the table, and sent a message to Pietra.
Mikhail:
You have to tell your father, or I will.
Pietra:
Good morning to you too.
Mikhail:
Good morning.
Pietra:
I need more time.
Mikhail:
You've had enough time. With an alliance or not, I want you here.
Pietra:
But I'm not going to miss my family in the process, you know that.
Please don't make me choose. I beg of you.
Mikhail:
What about me and my need to be with you?
Pietra:
You know I feel the same way.
Mikhail:
Then act soon.
Pietra:
I will do it with caution.
Mikhail:
I want you by my side, where I can protect you before anything happens.
I won't forgive myself for allowing you to be hurt or worse.
Pietra:
What do you mean? I'm at my family's house, safe.
Mikhail:
They're trying to kill me. I still haven't found who is behind it and in the meantime, if they find out that we are together you could become a target.
