“Do you know of anyone who works with this and wants to harm us in some way?”

“I don't think that's the case.” Mateo shook his head. “They used it as a front to enter our house without arousing suspicion.”

“Are these service providers not verified?” Marco asked.

“Counterfeiters are not so scarce on the market.”

“Then, who posed as a drink delivery man to kidnap my daughter?”

“I followed the van through city cameras to a small airport in the suburbs. It usually flies privately. Whoever kidnapped Pietra is no longer in Rome.”

“I need a cell phone.” I spoke out when I felt my pocket and realized that mine wasn't with me.

“Here.” Mateo handed one to me.

“Thanks.” I looked at him and saw that, of the three, he was the most welcoming to my presence, however I wasn't worried about making friends, my focus was in finding Pietra.

I dialed a number, and it took a short time for Natasha to answer.

“Boss, what do you need from me?”

“I need you to track down anyone who may have left Moscow after me. Work your magic and give me a name.”

“What are you doing in Rome?”

“Don't track me, find who I need.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Do it quickly, the life of the one that matters most to me is at risk.”

“Pietra.” She didn't need much to deduce. “I'll find her, sir.”

“Who are you talking to?” Mateo questioned me.

“My hacker.”

“Can I?”

I nodded and handed the cell phone into his hand.

“Hi, this is Mateo Bellucci, let's work together to find my niece. I will give you an IP address so you can share the information with me...”

I was listening to the younger brother when I felt a hand grab the lapel of my jacket and pull me away. I pushed Marco, forcing him to let me go.

“When this is over, I will kill you.”

“Only after she marries me.”

“My daughter is already promised to someone else.”

“I will not allow her to marry anyone else.”

“You don't have that right.”

“Yes, I do.” I faced him with the same hardness. I could be in his territory and alone, but I wouldn't let him scare me.

“You are not a man for my daughter.”
