Yes? *eyeballs emoji*

So the guy. The one I had a crush on.

???

He’s not just a crush anymore.

!!!

Details please!

Insanely long story. But our day in the Bahamas we went ATVing and I crashed.

WTF Addie? Are you okay?

Yeah, I’m fine. But I ended up having to get stitches, so we were stuck at the hospital, and we missedthe boat.

Oh shit.

Yeah. So we’re stuck in the Bahamas. At least I brought my phone. Cam left his on the ship. And we have our passports. Turns out there’s a reason they tell you to take it with you when you leave the ship.

So how are you getting back?

We have a flight home tomorrow. Cam is with me.

Oooh, a mini honeymoon already!

Well… maybe a little. We’re staying in a hotel room together.

Oh, I’m gonna need so many more details when you get home girl.

Just wanted to let you know some of the drama. But I’m safe, and I’ll be back in Philly tomorrow.

I’m staying over at your place tomorrow night. Lots to talk about.

So many details already. I’ll let you know how tonight goes… *wink emoji*

Cam and I have lunch on Paradise Island—more conch fritters and more conversation. This island is smaller than the main one, and everything seems slower here, more peaceful. Or maybe it’s Cam that has me feeling this way. He’s so easy to talk to. We talk about friends, family, what’s on our bucket list.

I can’t help but be surprised by the last item on Cam’s list.

“I want to settle down. Get married, have a family,” he admits, then pops another bite of Johnny cake into his mouth.

I mean, same. But are you supposed to say that to the guy you’re dating?Arewe dating?

“I want to go skydiving,” I blurt out, then stuff a fritter into my mouth.

Cam tilts his head, smiling like he knows exactly what’s on my mind. “You don’t want to get married?”

Do I tell him I spent most of ninth grade doodlingMrs. Camden AllenandAddison Allenon my notebooks?

“Uh, someday,” I hedge, swallowing over the lump in my throat.

“Well, I’m at a point in my life where I’m not going to start a relationship with someone if I don’t see it atleast having potential to go that direction.” Cam puts his fork down and looks at me intently.

My mouth goes dry, and I grab my water and take a few gulps.

Does that mean he sees that with me? Are we really in a relationship? Shit. Be a grown-up, Addie. He’s been inside you. Plus, it’s Cam. You can ask him anything.
