"No," the three of them said in unison, their faces taking on a more serious appearance.

How all three of them were able to speak at once was a little unnerving. Enzo had never seen three friends close enough to do that.

"Okay, so who is the other?"

"Sundrei. She is a Solar Vampyre. I'm fairly sure she was the next to reign on the Solar side of the Vampyre kingdom until she was rejected. If I were that guy, I'd be terrified of her returning someday. She's kind of quiet and keeps to herself, but I've seen her bad side. She doesn't know it, but I watched her explode into a million damn bats after screaming her heart out after she came here. It was frightening." Arlo shivered for a second after he gave the details on the Vampyre.

"Let me get this straight," Enzo started, "Kaida, who seemed to be a loner when I met her, has aligned herself with four extremely powerful supernaturals?"

The three of them nodded. No one seemed to feel the same way Enzo did. This could mean that Kaida had put herself in a position to change the world. If all four of those girls rose to power in their kingdoms, they could all support the changes needed for there to finally be peace amongst the kingdoms.

"Yes. Arguably, the most powerful supernaturals on the island aside from ourselves and Kaida. If you think going against us would be bad, go against those girls. I think they would all put us into the ground over Kaida and not think twice about it. It's why we became their friends instead. Well...we are talking to them now. We left them alone for the most part until Kaida came around."

Beckett mentioning going against these friends made him realize how perfect Kaida really was. If she could create the right connections with other supernaturals, she could also build the right bridges elsewhere.

"Is that the only place she would run to?"

Beckett seemed to ponder that question. Then he made a face and nodded. "I think she would feel safest there. Those girls helped her from the moment she stepped foot here. We found her with them right after you dropped her on that beach. It’s also the only place I imagine her dragon would let her go and shift back to her human form."

"Wait. Kaida found them right after I left?"

"Yes," Beckett answered him. "It was like a beacon, and they all went right to her. They’ve all found each other like that. Right after the first two came here, they found the others. They all live with each other, too. Kaida stayed with them until I had her move in with me."

Enzo sighed. There was something about going to Kaida while with these friends that had him trembling a little. He was already an ass for rejecting her. Now, within the first few minutes of coming to get her, he’d made her so upset that she shifted andflew away from him. If her friends were protective of her like the three Elemental Princes say, would he be able to say anything to Kaida without them stepping between them? What if they convinced her to continue with the rejection and not allow him to fix his mistakes?

Fix this. Now.

Do you understand that we must share her with others if I fix this?

I don't care what needs to be done. She is our mate. If we need to share her, even to have a piece of her love, then so be it. She is ours. We should be doing whatever it takes to keep her with us.

I guess it could be worse. These men do seem to care for her deeply.

As they should if they are her mates. We cared once, too. We let her slip through our fingers. We cannot allow that to happen again.

Enzo sighed. "Will you take me to her? I feel like I need to apologize…again."

Beckett laughed, and the other two followed. "Sure, but prepare yourself."

Oh, I am.

As if her wings were loud enough to be heard, as she descended from the sky, Adrien was waiting outside of her gate for Kaida. Her warm and welcoming smile gave Kaida the strength to shift quickly and run into her arms. The transition from dragon to human was seamless, and Kaida ran when her feet hit the ground. Adrien's eyes widened at the transition, and her smile grew.

"Holy shit, girl. I don't think I’ve ever seen someone just hit the ground running after a shift like that! That was so cool," Adrien told her as she hugged her. Kaida giggled and then tightened her grip around her friend. "I needed out and to get away before things got too bad."

Adrien pushed her gently away so she could look at Kaida with a puzzled look on her face. "What happened? Did one of the guys do something to you? Do we need to call the calvary and take care of business?"

Kaida smiled and shook her head. "No. But are the girls inside?"

"Yep. Azulia closed the shop for the day so she could workon things. Remy and Sundrei just stopped by because they have been busy lately, and I haven't seen them. Good timing, by the way. I think they were getting ready to leave."

"I hope not. I need you guys right now."

"Say no more."

Adrien held out her arm and backed away so Kaida could walk toward the house. Adrien followed her, keeping the silence to allow Kaida to speak when she wanted. Kaida gathered her thoughts while she crossed the threshold. Kaida could feel the girls' energies and immediately relaxed. None of them felt chaotic or angry, which was the opposite of the scene she had just left. When she walked into the room, all three of them turned toward the door and had the biggest smiles on their faces. Kaida's worries immediately washed away seeing her friends here. Each of them got up from their seats and hugged her. Feeling their strength and love for her, her body relaxed and brought a smile to her face.

"We haven't seen you in a few days. Is everything okay? Something feels off." Azulia looked Kaida over for a moment, her eyebrows furrowed. "Start talking. I can feel something in your aura, and I don't like it."
