In what way?
Rowan
In the way where I can’t get you out of my mind.
And remember when I said I shouldn’t want you? That hasn’t changed.
I shouldn’t. Yet I still do.
Me
Another day of waking up, wishing I were eating you for fucking breakfast.
Rowan
I wish you were too.
Me
One night until you’re home.
Rowan
And only a few until I see you …
Me
I know you said we need to talk, but I’d much rather move straight to the screaming. My mind is filled with all the things I want to do to you.
There will be plenty of time to talk after. I promise.
Rowan
Cooper …
Me
My place or yours?
Rowan
Yours.
Me
I’ll text you my address.
Me
Did you make it back to LA safely?
I picked up my office line that was ringing on top of my desk and held the receiver to my ear. “This is Cooper.”
“Walter would like to see you,” our assistant, Kathleen, said.
My hand moved to the mouse, clicking on the calendar to see if I’d missed something when I checked my schedule earlier this morning. There were zero executive-level meetings for today, just like I’d thought.
“He wants to see me now?” I asked.
