He moved toward the door of the barn and saw Henry hurrying past the doors to Everleigh. That was good. He could help her, or at least watch her retch her guts out. He's the one who got her pregnant.
Feeling a bit unsure though, he shrugged his shoulders and moved toward the doors. As he stepped out, he saw Henry kneeling down beside Everleigh, rubbing her back. Henry glanced at him and nodded but continued to tend to his wife. So, Myles moved back into the barn and continued to feed the horses their oats.
As he approached each stall, the horses stuck their heads over the half door and sniffed the oats, watched him work or bobbed their heads in approval. At least that's what he thought they were doing. Approving his oats deposit.
He glanced down the barn as all of the horses, eight of them, were eating their oats without caring that he was there. He picked up the handles on the wheelbarrow and moved it to the feed room, where he knew from watching Henry and Everleigh work, that's where they kept it.
Henry sauntered into the barn. "Morning."
"Morning. You got here just in time."
"You mean to see Ev throwing up breakfast?"
Myles chuckled. "Yep. I didn't know what I was supposed to do.”
Henry chuckled. "I guess you didn't." He scratched the back of his neck. "I sent her into the house to rest. She hasn't been sleeping well."
"I hear that will get worse as she has to pee all the time."
"Fuuuuuck." Henry groaned.
Myles laughed. "It's good practice for when you're getting up all the time during the night to take care of the little one."
Henry's brows rose into his hair and Myles chuckled.
"I fed the horses their oats and Everleigh said something about feeding them hay. Just get me going and I can do that."
"Did you come out here to work today?"
"I did. I'm off for a few days and I can't lay around. So, put me to work."
"Okay. We have plenty to do. Let's go up into the mow and throw a few bales of hay down the chute. Then, we'll get them fed and turn them out for some exercise."
"Sounds good."
"So, while we're working, tell me what's new with you."
"Well, yesterday, I helped Jasiah, and his men build a spare bedroom on the cabin. It's a spare bedroom while Mom and Dad are here for Christmas, but then it'll be the baby's room."
"They built that in a day?"
"You should see their process. It's unreal."
They climbed the ladder to the mow at the far end of the barn and as he stepped on the platform in the mow he said, "And, I'm having dinner with Shianne Brown tonight."

Shianne heard her computer chime signaling a new order had come in. Glancing at it before she put away all of her boxes and tissue paper she saw an order for the Teal Fenty S extra-large. Which was weird for two reasons. One, that's what that young woman had wanted. She said Teal Fenty S extra-large. Which was all the sizes. And two, well, it was all the sizes. She saw a phone number for the customer and picked up her phone.
She dialed the number and leaned against her counter as she listened to the rings. On the third ring, just before she was about to hang up came the tired voice of a man. "Yeah."
"Hi. My name is Shianne Brown and I just saw your order for the Fenty."
"Yeah," he said, still sounding tired.
"Well, thank you. But I need to know the size you want."
"I want the largest you have."
