This time I force my eyes away from his shirtless body. “Umm, no, I’m okay.”
“Oh, come on. Help a guy out.”
I laugh out of nervousness and tap my forearms. “Just slide some on my arms and I’ll rub it in.”
He shrugs and does as instructed. I keep my gaze low when he moves onto rubbing sunscreen on himself. Doing my best to stay cool, I take a while to spread it across my arms, shoulders, and neck.
“Little help?”
I look up, startled. “Huh?”
I’m greeted by Parker’s back, and he points at the middle. “I can’t reach that spot.”
“Ah,” I stammer. “Umm, yeah, okay.”
I’m struck with another bewildering tummy flutter as I slide my hands along his back.
Just pretend he’s Lewis. Just pretend he’s Lewis.
Uh-oh. That just brings up a new problem. Imagining my hands on Lewis causes them to tremor.
“Everything okay, Green?” Parker teases.
“Yep,” I say, patting his back. “You’re all set.”
“Thanks.” He turns around. “And you’re sure you’re good?”
I lift my palms and nod. “I’m good.”
He winks. “Time to get in the water then.”
I grit my teeth and tug on the straps of my dress.
Okay. Here goes nothing.
